FLORHAM PARK, NJ, May 24, 2005 - The Patriots' Path Council, Boy Scouts of America will honor James G. Petrucci founder of JGPCO at their annual Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner. The dinner will be held on Friday, June 10, 2005 at the Palace in Somerset Park, in Somerset New Jersey.Cocktails and dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Chairing the event is Ted Zangari, Member, Sills Cummis Epstein & Gross P.C. The Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner raises the necessary funds for Scouting “at-risk” programs which send underprivileged youth to camp. It also supports sending inner city Scouts to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and helps urban units to function in a traditional way and participate in a meaningful summer camp experience.

James G. Petrucci, a resident of Peapack in Somerset County, founded JGPCO in 1987, just one year after graduating from Princeton University. The company has developed and built over 6 million square feet of commercial and industrial buildings and hundreds of acres of land. The Company owns and manages a portfolio of approximately 3 million square feet of space in 3 states.

JGPCO has also made a significant impact in the communities it serves, sponsoring two major charitable events annually; Crossing Borders , benefiting Displaced Homemakers Networks in NJ and PA and The Iron Hill Charity Golf Open, benefiting the Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Council. Petrucci's personal commitment to the community started early. As a junior at Delbarton School he founded a program matching high school seniors with boys from the Morris County Big Brother Big Sisters program. As a young professional he founded an award winning program, Reading with Kids, that sends professionals into local schools to read with students.
