SOMERVILLE, NJ, JANUARY 16, 2008 – Located in the lower level of the Somerset Medical Center, a ribbon cutting was held Friday for this J.G. Petrucci project. A state-of-the-art emergency services command center, the MCC will be used by emergency services personnel in the event of a manmade or natural disaster.
Zak Appleby, Project Manager, noted, “It is everyone’s hope that this command center is never used for anything but training, but if a disaster does occur, this facility will prove to be an important communications response.”
The $12.5 million dollar project was completed in less than 6 months.
