ASBURY, NJ, May 15, 2008 – J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. (“JGPCO”), one of the New Jersey
and Pennsylvania region’s most respected development and design/build organizations,
continues to make a significant impact on the Forks Township, Pennsylvania community with a
number of noteworthy new projects. Forks Township, which has been experiencing explosive
growth, is situated between the Delaware River and the City of Easton, within easy reach of
major shipping corridors such as Interstate 78, U. S. Route 22 and Route 33.
Since 1998, JGPCO has developed over 180 acres of land in Forks Township representing more
than 500,000 square feet of warehouse/distribution and light manufacturing space. In turn, these
new projects have brought an estimated $250,000 per year in tax revenue to Forks Township.
"As a consequence of J.G. Petrucci Company’s investment in Forks Township and the many jobs
that have come as a result,” stated Township Supervisor Dave Howells, “we have been able to
get many things accomplished here. To take one example, the construction of our beautiful new
recreation complex came about in no small measure due to the boost our economy has received
from J.G. Petrucci’s projects.”
JGPCO’s projects in Forks Township include new facilities for companies such as Tioga Pipe
Supply Co. (150,000 sq. ft.), Assa Abloy (112,000 sq. ft.), Famous Smoke Shop (28,000 sq. ft.),
Polykote Corp. (25,000 sq. ft.) and Surf Technologies (20,000 sq. ft.). In addition, JGPCO
recently completed a new, state of the art manufacturing plant for United Plastics Group. This
facility, on Glover Road, comprises over 100,000 sq. ft. of space. JGPCO also owns 600
Kuebler Road in Forks Township, a 173,000-sq. ft. fully occupied facility that serves as
headquarters for SI Handling Systems/Paragon Technologies and also houses Strober-
Haddonfield Group, a leading custom wood and lumber supplier.
Besides the current United Plastics project, other work associated with JGPCO’s 124-acre Forks
Business Center is well under way. Forks Business Center is bounded by Uhler, Glover and
Kesslersville Roads and is zoned General Industrial, making it ideal for warehouse and
manufacturing facilities. The scope of work includes the construction of Braden Boulevard, with
completion scheduled for July 2008 and improvements to Uhler Road, which are to begin
shortly. These projects reflect total infrastructure improvements valued at more than $5 million.
In addition to that activity, in the fall 2007, Weyerhaeuser Company, one of the world's largest
forest products companies and Henningsen Cold Storage, an industry leader in providing high
quality cold storage space and services, both announced major commitments at Forks Business
Center. Including these projects, when completed, Forks Business Center is expected to generate
some $300 thousand in annual taxes and bring in an estimated 400 new jobs.
Speaking of the new developments, Planning Commission Chairman Dean Turner stated, “Our
new Comprehensive Plan values the diversification that industrial development brings to the
Township's tax base.”
Greg Rogerson of J.G. Petrucci, whose Lehigh Valley office is situated in Bethlehem, added
"Forks Township has been a valuable partner to us over the years. The cooperation we have
always received from Forks officials was a big factor in choosing the Township as the site of our
new industrial park."
With the sale of the two lots at Forks Business Center to Weyerhaeuser and Henningsen, 16
parcels at the park remain available for development. In addition, JGPCO owns an 8.8 acre
parcel in Forks Township at the intersection of Kuebler Road and Mort Drive that can support
development of 150,000 square feet and a 3.3 acre parcel at the intersection of Kuebler and
Kesslersville Roads.
