ASBURY, NJ AND BETHLEHEM, PA, SEPTEMBER 23, 2008 – J.G. Petrucci Co., Inc. (“JGPCO”), one of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania region’s most respected development and design/build organizations, will sponsor a “Cram for the Exam” event to be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Olympus Americas, Inc.’s headquarters in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. The all-day exam, sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council (“DVGBC”) will prepare registrants for the forthcoming LEED Accredited Professional (“AP”) exam.
Led by Peter Levasseur, AIA, LEED AP, Director of Sustainable Design, EwingCole and Secretary of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council and Aaron Dahlstrom, LEED AP, Mechanical Engineer, AKF Engineers, candidates will review all sections of the LEED-NC v2.2 Rating System and the LEED process. Subjects covered will include the LEED Process, Materials and Resources, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Innovation and Design, Sustainable Sites, Indoor Environmental Quality, LEED Resources and other topics. Participants will also receive a tour of the high performance, green building Olympus headquarters.
Jim Vozar, a project executive with J.G. Petrucci Co. and a member of the Lehigh Valley Chapter’s Executive Committee stated, “JGPCO has a long history of supporting green building and sustainable design, so we were very pleased to be able to get behind this effort to increase the number of LEED Accredited Professionals in the Lehigh Valley.” He added, “We anticipate a large turnout for Cram for the Exam, including myself and five others from JGPCO who are pursuing the LEED AP certification.”
