ASBURY, NJ, MARCH 2, 2009---- J.G. Petrucci Co., Inc. (“JGPCO”), one of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania region’s most respected development and design/build organizations, has completed the sale of 4225 Braden Boulevard East, Forks Township, Pennsylvania to Weyerhaeuser Company (“Weyerhaeuser”). Weyerhaeuser acquired the 100,000 square foot warehouse/distribution center which sits on a 30-acre rail-served site and includes more than 12 acres of ground improvements, for an undisclosed amount.
The new facility consolidates several Weyerhaeuser locations in the region and will bring new jobs to Forks Township, which is located just a few miles north of Easton, Pennsylvania. As part of the project scope, JGPCO completed approximately $5 million worth of improvements to Forks Business Center, including the construction of Braden Boulevard East.
C. David Howell, Chairman of the Forks Township Board of Supervisors, stated, “We’re delighted to welcome Weyerhaeuser Company as a new neighbor.” He added, “Weyerhaeuser’s strong commitment to sustainable business practices and their history of community involvement represent the type of corporate citizenship that is warmly appreciated in Forks Township.”
“The new Forks Township building is the result of company-wide efforts at Weyerhaeuser to incorporate LEAN and Six Sigma disciplines,” stated Craig McDonald, Weyerhaeuser region manager. He further noted, “This is a World Class distribution facility that will enable Weyerhaeuser to better serve customers of its iLevel building products business in the region.”
Greg Rogerson, a principal at JGPCO, stated, “Weyerhaeuser was a great company to work with throughout the entire process. We’re very pleased they found Forks Business Center to be the ideal location to grow their business and look forward to welcoming additional tenants to the park in the near future.” He added, “There are sixteen lots totaling more than 60 acres still available at Forks Business Center.”
