ASBURY, NJ AND BETHLEHEM, PA, MARCH 16, 2009---- J.G. Petrucci Co., Inc. (“JGPCO”), one of the region’s most respected development and design/build organizations, has received final site plan approval for the design and construction of a 93,472 square foot production facility for Myers Power Products, Inc. (“Myers”). The new facility will be built on an approximately 6.9-acre site on South Commerce Way in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania. Upon completion, Myers will relocate their existing operations at 2000 Highland Avenue in Hanover Township to the new, larger building, which will also house 10,278 square feet of office space. Paul Weiss, associate broker, Hawley Realty, Inc., represented Myers in the transaction.
Myers, which is headquartered in Corona, California, has been a leader for over 60 years in the engineering and manufacturing of power supplies, transformers, lighting inverters, battery backup systems, electrical cabinets, and medium and low voltage switchgear for the electrical industry. The company’s operations in Hanover Township encompass the CPI division, a respected name in emergency lighting inverters and UPS systems and the Abacus division, which produces corrosion control products and is engaged in advanced electrical design and manufacturing.
Bruce Steigerwald, Myers’ General Manager for its Hanover Township operations, stated, “The new facility, which will be larger and more efficient, will allow Myers to continue providing outstanding service to electrical engineers and contractors worldwide. Jim Vozar, a spokesperson for JGPCO, stated, “Construction of Myers’ new facility is expected to begin in early March with completion anticipated six months later, in September.” He added, “It is a great credit to Hanover Township that we were able to get this project through the approvals process in an expeditious manner.”
