ASBURY, NJ, MAY 1, 2009---- On Thursday, April 30th, J.G. Petrucci Co., Inc. (“JGPCO”), one of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania region’s most respected development and design/build organizations, hosted its 6th Annual Crossing Borders Charity Awards Luncheon. More than 200 guests gathered at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ, to honor women in real estate and economic development from both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The annual fundraising event benefits the Displaced Homemakers Network of New Jersey and New Choices/New Options Program of Pennsylvania. Both organizations provide programs that aid in transition and enhance the employability and earnings of single mothers and displaced homemakers.
During the event, two women were honored with the Community Impact Award for demonstrating outstanding leadership and economic improvement within their community. The 2009 award recipients are:
- Lisa M. Boscola, Pennsylvania State Senate – 18th District
- Gretchen S. Wilcox, Founder and President/CEO of Q10 Capital|G. S. Wilcox & Co.
Through corporate sponsorships and donations, J.G. Petrucci Co., Inc. raised $52,000 for the two charitable organizations. Major sponsors included G.S. In addition to the awards ceremony, attendees heard personal success stories from two women who have benefited from the agencies’ programs and services.

Petrucci, president and CEO of JGPCO stated: “The support given to Crossing Borders, despite a very difficult economy, is an indication both of the high esteem in which the two honorees are held and the fact that people recognized and responded to the tremendous burden that has been placed upon not-for-profit organizations in the past year.” He added, “As evidenced by the success stories we heard, the organizations supported by Crossing Borders make a direct and powerful impact on people’s lives.”
