WARMINSTER, PA, JUNE 20, 2011 --- J.G. Petrucci Co., Inc. (JGPCO), one of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania region’s most respected development and design/build organizations, recently broke ground on its 233 unit, luxury apartment community referred to as the “Station at Bucks County.” The apartment complex will consist of one and two bedroom luxury apartments including granite counters, ample storage and garage parking. The site will have a 3,600 sq. ft. clubhouse with a fitness center, lounge and pool. Other onsite amenities include 5,000 sq. ft. of retail space and direct access to the Septa Commuter Rail Station. The development is minutes from major shopping and dining venues along the Street Rd commercial corridor. Construction is expected to be completed in 18 months, with delivery of the first phase in Spring 2012.
When JGPCO acquired this property, it consisted of an obsolete and deteriorating industrial facility. Redevelopment proved challenging in that the highest and best use for the property appeared to be rezoning the site for a mixed use residential and retail development. Working closely with state and municipal agencies, JGPCO’s development team was able to rezone the property as a Transit Oriented Development (TOD).
