J.G. Petrucci Builds Expansion for tenant Cigars International

The 100,000 sq. ft. expansion increases the company’s presence in the Lehigh Valley

J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc., has broken ground on a 100,000 square foot expansion for, its tenant, Cigars International at their headquarters in Bethlehem, PA. J.G. Petrucci developed designed and built the global cigar distributor’s 113,500 sq. ft. facility at 1911 Spillman Drive, in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII. When it came time to expand, Cigars International turned to J.G. Petrucci for a solution that would allow them to continue to take advantage of all the amenities the Lehigh Valley offers.

The 100,000 sq. ft. expansion will increase the building footprint to 213,500 sq. ft. and will serve as additional warehouse and humidor space. The expansion’s interior fit-out will also include advanced material handling equipment and cutting-edge smart warehousing features.

1911 Spillman is located within one of the most significant brownfield redevelopment projects in the United States on land formerly occupied by Bethlehem Steel Corporation. The 13.22-acre site provides excellent connectivity to major highways and is included in the LERTA tax program.

Cigars International was represented by Kevin Cain of KW Commercial. The expansion project will be constructed by J.G. Petrucci Company’s in-house construction group, Iron Hill Construction Management, with a target completion of Winter 2021.
