As owner’s representative, J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. assisted Sussex County Community College (SCCC) with a 15,000 sq. ft. expansion situated on its 167-acre campus. When SCCC purchased the campus, the facilities were set up as education institutions with classrooms, offices, and infrastructure. However, they required extensive renovations and expansions to serve the new mission of the college.
J.G. Petrucci, along with Iron Hill Construction Management, used their combined experience with higher education building additions and new construction to oversee all development and construction activities for SCCC’s new University Center, which allowed the college to expand their academic programs. The project team served as an integrated member of the SCCC team from planning through project closeout.
The new University Center has allowed SCCC to partner with other colleges and public/commercial sector entities to demonstrate resources and tools for solving real-world problems and improving the quality of life for its students.
