J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. completed the development and design/build of a 35,000 sq. ft. Community Center for the City of South Amboy, New Jersey. The $10 Million facility was designed by Cerminara Architect and is within walking distance of a senior housing community, South Amboy’s middle and high schools, and the Raritan Bay Waterfront Park.
The YMCA Community Center provides extensive recreational and community activities. In addition to a large atrium and office spaces, the facility has a senior fitness center, a childcare area, and a 6,000 sq. ft. wellness center geared toward teens, adults, and families. The center was completed under a tight, 9-month construction schedule and includes a 25-yard, six-lane competitive swimming pool and a full-court gymnasium.
