In the 1970s, at least 90,000 cubic yards of incinerator ash were brought to this site for grading and disposal. Since the placement of fill, the site was used for storage of cars, lumber recovery, and storage for a local masonry contractor.
J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. purchased the 8.8 acre parcel in 2012, remediated the site, rezoned the property, and completed the Development & Design/Build of 149 luxury apartments that are conveniently located just minutes from historic downtown Manayunk.
