J.G. Petrucci completed the Development and Design/Build for a 156,000 SF building that contained the largest fully automated vertical farm in the United States. The modern farm facility is located on a site formerly home to Bethlehem Steel Corporation. The project required close coordination between the shell building and interior fit-out due to the tenant’s heavy infrastructure requirements. The tenant was drawn to the Lehigh Valley for its strategic location and ability to deliver locally produced, pesticide-free food to an estimated 50 million people in the Northeast.
