J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. completed the development & design/build of a 79,160 sq. ft. manufacturing facility for Norac S.A. of Rennes, France. This customized facility is the first United States location for the French bread and baked goods manufacturer.
Incorporated in 2004, Norac employs more than 3,700 worldwide and produces the leading bakery snack in France. Operating under the brand Bakerly, Norac USA has introduced a natural alternative to traditional bakery snacks for supermarkets across the nation. The new product line includes chocolate-and-strawberry filled crepes and chocolate croissants.
The new facility features a 6,275 sq. ft. high pile storage freezer, 6,052 sq. ft. of office space, and 3,448 sq. ft. of shell space that will be used for the firm’s strategic growth initiatives. With the help of J.G. Petrucci, Norac USA was able to expedite development approvals, and receive a funding proposal from DCED that included a $186,000 Pennsylvania First Grant, $124,000 in job creation tax credits, and $27,900 in WEDnetPA funding for employee training, according to the state.
J.G. Petrucci has completed four additional phases for Bakerly since the initial project.
