J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. demolished 17 obsolete industrial buildings on a 12-acre site formerly occupied by Cooper Alloy Foundry. The complex project consisted of remediating the existing environmental conditions and completing the Development and Design/Build of a 148,850 sq. ft., state-of-the-art food-grade distribution facility for Gargiulo Produce.
Gargiulo is a third-generation company and one of the largest distributors of fresh fruits and vegetables in the United States. J.G. Petrucci efficiently coordinated the excavation of 25,000 cubic yards of contaminated VOC soils and 25,000 gallons of groundwater, allowing the project to be completed on schedule and within budget.
