J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. delivered the 113,500 sq. ft. headquarters for Cigars International at 1911 Spillman Drive in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, located in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII. The building includes private offices, warehouse and distribution space, a call center, and a 41,600 sq. ft. advanced humidor.
This project was a part of the largest brownfield redevelopment in the United States. The site, formerly part of Bethlehem Steel’s 1,000+ acre complex, required careful planning and coordination to integrate modern infrastructure while adhering to environmental remediation standards. Iron Hill oversaw all site work, foundation improvements, and utility upgrades to prepare the property for current and future industrial operations.
When it came time to expand, Cigars International turned to J.G. Petrucci for a solution that would allow them to continue to take advantage of all the amenities the Lehigh Valley offers, including excellent connectivity to major highways and the LERTA tax abatement program. A 100,000 sq. ft. expansion increased the building footprint to 213,500 sq. ft., with expanded warehouse and humidor space. The addition incorporated advanced material handling systems, smart warehousing technology, and structural enhancements.
