J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. developed, designed, and built the global cigar distributor, Cigars International, a 113,500 sq. ft. facility at 1911 Spillman Drive, Bethlehem, PA. The building serves as headquarters for Cigars International and includes a mix of private offices, warehouse and distribution space, and a call center. In addition, the facility features a state-of-the-art 41,600 sq. ft. humidor.
The building is located within Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII and is part of the largest brownfield redevelopment project in the United States, a site formerly occupied by Bethlehem Steel Corporation and more than 1,000 acres in size.
When it came time to expand, Cigars International turned to J.G. Petrucci for a solution that would allow them to continue to take advantage of all the amenities the Lehigh Valley offers. The 13.22 acre site provides excellent connectivity to major highways and is included in the LERTA tax program.
The latest addition includes a 100,000 sq. ft. expansion, increasing the building footprint to 213,500 sq. ft. and serving as additional warehouse and humidor space. The expansion’s interior fit-out will also include advanced material handling equipment and cutting-edge smart warehousing features.
