J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. and Iron Hill Construction Management completed the Development and Design/Build of a 130,000 sq. ft. warehouse and distribution facility for Vigon International, an Azelis company. A key player in the fragrance and flavor industry, Vigon is poised to leverage the capabilities of the new warehouse for enhanced storage and distribution of their innovative products.
The new Class-A facility was built to store hazardous chemicals, including low-level combustible dust materials that are specifically monitored while containers are open. The warehouse was designed with extensive life-safety systems, including 2- and 3-hour rated firewalls, water/foam suppression systems in H2 and H3 areas with limited storage heights and in-rack sprinklers, and comprehensive foam containment systems. Additional protections include fire-rated coiling doors tied directly to the alarm system, automatic spill barriers at all openings, and full spray-applied fireproofing (or equivalent protection) on all structural steel and roof decking to achieve a 2-hour rating.
Strategically located at 159 Airstrip Road in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, the facility positions Vigon for enhanced logistics efficiency and seamless distribution across the region, delivering both operational performance and the highest level of safety compliance.
